Crafting Culinary Memories

Indulge Into A Rich And Authentic Peruvian Culinary Experience

Peruvian Food With Passion And Soul

Our Story

After many years of dedicated work in various Peruvian restaurants throughout the Maryland area, a passionate entrepreneur has decided to take the next step in her journey. Her experience in customer service, combined with the knowledge she gained from a young age selling food alongside her mother, laid the foundation for building a dream. Today, hand in hand with her husband, that dream becomes a reality with the opening of Picantería El Picaron, a family-owned restaurant where the community can savor the authentic flavors of Peru.

Picantería El Picaron is not just a business — it’s a passion that shines through in every dish served. This new space invites everyone to enjoy a unique culinary experience, where tradition and love for Peruvian cuisine are present in every detail. We sincerely thank all who visit us, because each day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and continue offering the best of our culture. We look forward to welcoming you with open arms!

What Our Guests Say

Here’s what some of our happy diners are saying

Lomo Saltado was excellent and featured fresh cut fries. Arroz con Mariscos was super creamy and topped with fresh seafood. We also tried  Tiradito de Pescado, with its thinly slices fish and spicy yellow tiradito sauce. No alcohol license yet but that’s coming. We came on a quiet weeknight but they said it’s happening especially on Sundays. They even serve cuy on weekends.

Nick Grace

We got huancaina and ceviche for appetizers, chicha marada for drinks, and they had lucuma and cherimoya ice cream for dessert that we couldn’t pass up. The entree portions were very generous.  The one Peruvian native in our group assured us the food tasted authentic.

Cotter Rodenberg

As a Peruvian this place represents me. The food looks and taste authentic and delicious. Also, the price is great for the amount of food that you receive in comparison to other Peruvian restaurants. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Dayana Silva

Definitely, it’s the point of peruvian food. Excellent tastes and flavors. Fantastic services ( we were attended exclusively by the owner ). The food on time meticulously decorated. Thanks, Picanteria el Picaron, by making our Sunday a beautiful day and supporting the sports too.
